PRIUS PRIME: 8,000 KM’s on One Tank of Gas
Did you ever think we’d see the day where you could get 8,000 km on only one tank of gas?
I’m sure there will be many answers to that question, but the fact is, that day has come, and it’s only the beginning as you’re about to find out.

Chantelle and Jason live here in Kitchener and have been part of the family at Heffner’s for years now, having driven many different models ranging from an Echo to Celica, a Scion tc, a couple Highlander’s and now a 2019 Prius Prime Plug-In Hybrid. It’s that model that reached 8,000 km’s on its first tank of gas. Something they didn’t believe possible.
Chantelle and Jason recently sat down with our Senior Sales Specialist, Karen Savage, to discuss what it’s been like leasing their first hybrid vehicle and how’s it been over the past 7 months. Spoiler Alert – it’s been better than anticipated.
In this candid video, Chantelle and Jason talk about everything the ownership has meant to them, including the 8,000 km on the first tank of gas, to the low energy costs, to when and where they charge their hybrid. They also touch on the fact they’re reducing their environmental footprint and how much fun it is to drive on pure electric power.
For them, it was time to Prime, and after experiencing the joy in their everyday lives, Jason and Chantelle are looking forward to more hybrid and electric technology coming in the near future.

The Prius-Prime is Toyota’s only plug-in hybrid. We do have a full lineup of self-charging hybrid vehicles including the Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Highlander, Prius, Prius c and RAV4. The 2021 RAV4 Prime is on its way as well and is expected to be Toyota most powerful and efficient RAV4 yet.
