Heffner Recycling Program

Did you know that batteries and light bulbs are host to toxins that can be harmful to humans, and the planet? That’s why Heffner has a Recycling Program! You can bring in any of the following items, and we’ll dispose of them correctly:

  • light bulbs (incandescent, halogen, and compact fluorescent)
  • batteries (alkaline, nickel-cadmium, nickel metal hydride, sealed lead acid, lithium, mercury, and silver oxide

Once we’ve collected your light bulbs and batteries, we’ll make sure they’re properly disposed of. This means no harmful toxins leaking into landfills! Recycling these items means that the raw materials can be used to create something new – and at a lower price point than if new raw materials had to be sourced!

In 2019, we were able to recycle 209KG of batteries and 828 bulbs through our Recycling Program. Thanks for helping us make the world a greener place!
