GET TO KNOW US PART 11
Spring is coming!
As we dive into International Women’s Month, for march, we have decided to highlight some of our hardworking women, here at Heffner Toyota!
This month we are featuring Alyssa (Warranty Coordinator), Vanessa (Leasing Manager), and Shania (Content Creator/ Digital Marketing Associate)
Q1: What is something you are proud of yourself for?
Alyssa: I am proud that I kept my head up high during this pandemic, even when I was home for months without work.
Vanessa: As cliché as this might sound… I am proud to be a mother of 2. I have 2 amazing boys that keep me on my toes and driven to succeed. I get up each day determined to better myself from yesterday for them.
Shania: Starting college with a 6 month old and graduating. I will never forget this accomplishment. Such hard work, but oh, ever so worth it.
Q2: Who is one woman you look up to the most?
Alyssa: I would have to say my avo ( grandma ). When she was still here, she always knew how to turn nothing into something. She always put her familia first and was well respected in the Portuguese community. When she passed I was 5 month pregnant with my first and I made a promise to myself that I will follow in her foot steps in everyway I can.
Vanessa: This would be my mom. My whole life she has been a wonderful role model showing strength and courage however the last 2 years she has shown me just how strong she really is. Overcoming major health issues, she has continued to push forward and always does it with a smile on her face.
Shania: I would say my grandmother. She has taught me to live life to the fullest, work hard but don’t hurt yourself, always spread love and to ALWAYS put your FULL EFFORT into anything that you want to achieve.
Q3: What are three things you love about yourself?
Alyssa: This is a hard question for myself because I never really think about myself. My girls always come first. But with saying that I would have to say
- Being a mother to my two girls
- Hopeless Romantic and wear my heart on my sleeve
- Mommy’s girl
Vanessa: My Personality – I am a pretty unique individual 😉 My determination – I am not afraid to take risk or accept new challenges to achieve my life goals My ability to learn from my mistakes – life happens each “mistake” is an opportunity to better yourself
Shania: My determination, if I want something, I have no problem working for it. My openness, I enjoy all kinds of music, shows, activities and am open to anything! Being a mother. I love my son, he makes me so proud to be a mother.
Q4: What message do you have for the young women out there, starting out their career?
Alyssa: To never give up. Things will get hard at times but if you keep trying and pushing yourself you will get to where you want to be. It is ok to feel like you don’t know what you want to do in life after school but that is the perfect time to find yourself to figure it out. Don’t feel pressured about jumping into a career right after school. Make sure you find you passion because that last thing you want is to be going to work everyday not loving what you do. Keep your head up and dreams big!
Vanessa: You have to wake up each day welcoming new opportunities as they are key for future learning. Yes, this can make you feel a little (or a lot) uncomfortable and you may feel you aren’t ready, however you need to remember that growth and comfort don’t always co-exist. Life and your career will not be a marathon nor a sprint, when things seem to be going wrong, get up dust yourself off and keep on pushing. You got this Girl!
Shania: Always try, because you never know until you do. Hold your head up high and know you can do anything if you put your mind to it. It might be scary stepping into change, but change means growth.
