#FARWELL4HIRE at Heffner Lexus Toyota
Hats off to a man with a plan.
That man is Mike Farwell, or just Farwell as he’s more commonly called.
The plan, that’s to #curecf so that no family ever has to experience the tragic loss of a loved one, or in the case of Farwell’s family, loved ones, like they did many years ago.
That’s where #Farwell4Hire comes in, a local campaign, by a local boy, raising money and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis Canada. And it’s so easy to get involved. Either make a straight out donation, or hire Farwell to do a job. Then instead of paying him, you make a donation to CF Canada. Simple, yet brilliant.
For the past 5 years, this is what Farwell has been doing during the month of May, which is Cystic Fibrosis month. There’s no job too big or too small. If it’ll raise funds for the cause, he will do it. The campaign has grown immensely over those 5 years, and so has the campaign goals, this year being $100,000 in 31 days. Incredible.
So, this past Wednesday, May 16th, we said come on over, welcoming Farwell into our Detailing Department at Heffner Lexus Toyota to use his spectacular speaking skills to, um, wash cars…not sure we fully thought that one through, but none the less, Farwell proved he has a career in detailing if for any reason he decides to step away from broadcasting.
In the course of 2 hours, Farwell did everything from hand-washing to waxing, buffing and steam cleaning; he covered the gamut of services that our talented team in the Detailing Department offer, and did it all while exuding his professional demeanor and exemplifying his drive for the cause that’s so near and dear to his heart. Of course, we had some fun too because it can’t be all work with no play.
